2019 Dodge Journey

The 2019 Dodge Journey comes in three main trim levels. These are SE, Crossroad, and GT. Exterior features of the base SE trim level include automatic headlights, roof rails, 17-inch steel wheels, heated side mirrors, and fog lights. This model is available with a Blacktop package, which adds blacked-out exterior trim elements and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The mid-level Crossroad trim features 19-inch wheels and a touring-tuned suspension for a more comfortable ride. You can upgrade this model with remote engine start and a sunroof. Most of the upgrades come standard on the GT, along with a further upgraded suspension and its own unique set of 19-inch wheels.

Beneath the hood of the SE and Crossroad trim levels, you'll find a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 166 pound-feet of torque and 173 horsepower. It pairs with a four-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on these trim levels as well. If you upgrade to all-wheel drive, you'll get a more powerful 3.6-liter V-6 engine, making 260 pound-feet of torque and 283 horsepower. This engine pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission and is standard on the GT.

The acceleration of the 2019 Journey is more powerful with the V-6 engine, although it's a bit slower than other models in its segment. The vehicle's gas pedal is responsive, while the brakes make it easy to maneuver around town. You may also notice that the steering wheel feels light in your hands, which is especially appealing when you're maneuvering around tight corners at low speeds.

Standard interior features of the base trim level include a height-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry and ignition, a six-speaker audio system with an auxiliary audio input and 4.3-inch touch screen, 60/40-split second-row seats, and 50/50-split third-row seats. Both of the rear rows can also slide and recline. Upgrades available on the SE trim include the Connectivity package, which adds Bluetooth, a USB port, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, satellite radio, and voice commands, and the Comfort/Convenience package, which has a power-operated driver's seat and upgraded cloth upholstery.

Both of these packages come standard on the Crossroad, along with tri-zone climate control with rear vents, leather upholstery, and an 8.4-inch touch screen. Optional features on the mid-level trim include a rear-seat entertainment system, heated front seats, navigation, a universal garage door opener, and a premium six-speaker audio system with a sub-woofer. Most of these features come standard on the top GT trim.

Every 2019 Dodge Journey comes with anti-lock brakes, advanced multi-stage air bags throughout the cabin, a rear-view camera, and stability and traction control. The Crossroad trim is also available with a rear park assist system, which comes standard on the GT. This system detects objects behind the vehicle and warns you when something is in your path.
