Trims (Exterior)
All the trims on the Ram 1500 have 4x4 and 4x2 drivetrains, as well as the option of a Crew Cab or Quad Cab. The Crew Cab and Quad Cab come in 6-foot 4-inch boxes, while the Crew Cab also has a 5-foot 7-inch box. Not all sizes are available on all trims. There are six trims available with the Ram 1500. The top model is the Limited, which starts at $58,985 for the 4x4 model and $55,485 for the 4x2 model. Next is the Laramie Longhorn and Laramie trims. The 4x4 trims start at $54,890 and $44,190 while the 4x2 trims start at $51,390 and $44,690. Following the Laramie trims is the Rebel trim, which starts at $48,690 for 4x4 and $43,995 for the 4x2 option. The Bighorn/Lonestar trim starts at $39,195 and $35,695 for the 4x4 and 4x2 models. Finally, the Tradesman, which is the base model, starts at $35,195 for 4x4 while the 4x2 option is $31,695.
Engine (Power)
Three engines come with the Ram 1500. Available with the Tradesman, Bighorn/Lonestar, and Rebel trims is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with eTorque. It has 305 horsepower, 269 pound-feet torque, and a maximum towing capacity of 7,730 pounds. The eTorque engine is a mild hybrid option, which provides increased fuel efficiency while still offering powerful torque. There is also a 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI engine with eTorque which is an available option on all trims. It gets 395 horsepower, 410 pound-feet of torque and a maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds. Standard with the Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited trims is the 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI. It has 395 horsepower, 410 pound-feet of torque, and 11,610 pounds as maximum towing capacity.
Performance
The Ram 1500 uses an eight-speed automatic transmission with TorqueFlite. The truck also uses a Class-Exclusive Air Suspension System that reduces drag and improves efficiency when driving highway speeds by lowering the vehicle when on the road. The sculpted roof design and elevated hood help to improve the aerodynamics of the truck.
Interior
The infotainment system for the 2019 Ram 1500 is the Uconnect system. Drivers have the option of the Uconnect 4, which has an 8.4-inch touch screen or the new Uconnect 12.0 with Navigation, which has a 12-inch screen. This screen is the largest in its class and has the option of a full screen or split screen when viewing. The Uconnect also comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features that you can find in the Ram 1500 include Sirius XM with 360L, a Digital Cockpit with a 7-inch screen, and active noise cancellation.
Safety Features
While on the road, the Ram 1500 uses Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist, and LaneSense Lane Departure Warning-Plus to ensure your safety while driving. It also has Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection as well as a 360-degree camera. For assistance with parking in those tight spots, there is Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist.
