Trim Levels (Exterior)
For 2020, Chrysler paired down Pacifica's trims and moved the former base L and LX trims into the brand new Voyager. There are now four trims offered: Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited. The base trim includes 17-inch wheels as well as a power liftgate and sliding door. The Touring L trim adds roof rails, while the Limited trim includes 18-inch wheels, power-folding mirrors, and hands-free power sliding doors and liftgate.
Engine (Power)
There's only one engine option available for the 2020 Pacifica. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine produces 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard.
Performance
Compared to other vehicles in its class, the 2020 Pacifica surpasses others when it comes to gas mileage. This vehicle gets an EPA-estimated 19 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
There's an optional tow package available, which includes a 220-amp alternator, trailer-sway technology, and a trailer-tow wiring harness. With these features, the vehicle can tow a maximum of 3,600 pounds.
Interior
Depending on the configuration, the 2020 Pacifica seats seven or eight people, as seven-passenger seating is standard. Interior features that are standard include cloth upholstery and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat. Available upgrades include a power-adjustable front passenger seat, leather upholstery, heated front and second-row seats, and built-in vacuum cleaner.
For infotainment, the vehicle comes standard with a 7-inch touch-screen display, satellite radio, six-speaker stereo, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Its Uconnect system is one of the most user-friendly interfaces available. You can opt for an 8.4-inch touch-screen display, two 10-inch touch screens for the seatbacks, an overhead DVD player, a Wi-Fi hot spot, additional USB ports, a 13-speaker Alpine or 20-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, and HD radio.
For cargo space, the vehicle has 32.3 cubic feet of space when all the seats are upright. Folding down the third row gives you 87.5 cubic feet of space. With the second and third rows folded, you get 140.5 cubic feet of space. The Stow 'n Go seats fold directly into the floor, so you gain access to all that space without removing any seats. Its airy interior also includes various cubbies and slide-out bins for extra storage.
Safety Features
The 2020 Pacifica comes standard with a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. There are numerous upgrades available in the Advanced SafetyTec package, some of which include automatic parallel and perpendicular park assist, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic emergency braking, and surround-view parking camera.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the 2020 Pacifica with a perfect five-star safety rating.
