2020 Chrysler Voyager
You can now find the previous lower trims of the Chrysler Pacifica minivan as part of the Voyager, as the trims have received a re-brand. As such, the Voyager looks and drives similarly to the Pacifica; after all, the 2019 Pacifica's L and LX trims are now the 2020 Voyager. Chrysler had used the name previously during the late 1980s and early 1990s, and the company has resurrected the name for this affordable minivan. Trim Levels (Exterior)
As mentioned, there are just two trims available on the 2020 Voyager: L and LX. There is an LXi trim, but that is only available as a fleet vehicle. Its exterior is almost indistinguishable from the Pacifica, except for the badging. However, Voyager's front has a simpler design, and the body isn't as flashy as the Pacifica.
The L trim comes with 17-inch steel wheels and heated outboard mirrors, while the LX trim includes 17-inch aluminum wheels and optional roof rack. The LXi trim also includes the 17-inch aluminum wheels and a roof rack. All trims have manual sliding side doors and liftgate.
Engine (Power)
The engine that powers the 2020 Voyager is the same one you will find with the Pacifica: a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive.
Performance
For gas mileage, the 2020 Voyager gets an EPA-estimated 19 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. This is the same mileage that the outgoing Pacifica L received the prior year. When fully equipped, the Voyager can tow up to 3,600 pounds.
Interior
The Voyager offers generous seating for seven, even though the armrests don't retract. The base L trim is pretty sparse, as it comes standard with cloth seats, dual-zone manual climate control, and a second-row bench seat. For infotainment, it comes standard with a six-speaker audio system and the Uconnect 4 system with a 7-inch touch-screen display. You can pair this system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
With the LX trim, you gain second-row captain's chairs with in-floor storage bins, tri-zone manual climate control, an eight-way power driver's seat, and satellite radio. You can opt for a single-screen rear-mounted DVD player. The LXi trim is the only one that offers Stow 'n Go seating, which allows you to place seats into a storage compartment in the floor. It also includes second-row sunshades and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. On the LX and LXi trims, you can select the Cold Weather Group, which includes heated front seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
If you need additional room, the Voyager offers 32 cubic feet of space behind the third row, but folding down the second and third rows gives you 140.5 cubic feet of space.
Safety Features
When it comes to safety, the 2020 Voyager comes standard with a rearview camera. However, you can select the Safety Tec Group on all trims, and this package includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors with automatic braking.
