Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2020 Ram 1500 has six trim packages available, including the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. The Ram 1500 has many options for doors and bed length. A crew cab is equipped with four full-sized doors and has either a 5-foot, 7-inch bed or a 6-foot, 4-inch bed. A quad cab has full-size front doors and smaller back doors with a 6-foot, 4-inch bed.
Engine (Power)
A 3.6-liter V-6 VVT eTorque engine is standard on all 2020 Ram 1500 models. A second optional engine, the 5.7-liter HEMI eTorque, is available on all models. A third engine, the 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI, is available for the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, and Rebel models. An eight-speed automatic 850RE transmission is standard, with an eight-speed 8HP75 transmission available as an option. All Ram 1500 models are available with either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
Performance
The towing and payload capacity of a Ram 1500 varies from model to model due to the many possible combinations in bed size and drivetrain. As a general rule, the two-wheel-drive models have a greater towing and cargo capacity. Properly equipped, the 2020 Ram 1500 can tow a maximum of 7,730 pounds and carry 2,100 pounds of cargo. Trailer-sway damping is a standard feature on all Ram 1500 models. The Laramie and Laramie Longhorn models have an available surround-view camera that makes hooking up a trailer easier.
All Rebel models are equipped with an off-road package that includes all-terrain tires, extra heavy-duty shocks, and hill descent control. The transfer case, steering, and fuel tanks are all protected by skid plates.

Upholstery varies from heavy-duty vinyl in the base-model Tradesman to leather-trim in the high-end Limited model. Heated and ventilated front seats are standard on the Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited.
