Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Jeep Compass is produced in a great range of trim levels for you to choose from: Sport, Latitude, Latitude Lux, Limited, Trailhawk, Red, and High Altitude. The Compass's front and rear fascias have been redesigned to offer a more modern, curvaceous style. The Compass's new LED headlights are powerful, giving you superior vision at night. If you choose the Trailhawk model, you'll get red accents for your exterior, including red front recovery hooks. Each model features roof rails to let you pack your gear and heated side mirrors to keep your vision clear.
Engine (Power)
Each of the 2022 Compass models features a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine that outputs 177 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. This engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission when you choose a front-wheel-drive model and a nine-speed automatic transmission with the four-wheel-drive system.
Performance
Choose the Trailhawk trim level to prepare your Compass for your tougher adventures. This trim level boasts the Trail Rated badge, which means it can ford more water, get more traction on dirt roads, and better handle your outdoor adventures in general. The Selec-Terrain traction management system has drive modes that retune your Compass to perform better during current road conditions.
The Trailhawk's hill descent control improves footing on steep grades. The Compass's powerful engine allows it to tow up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped. It's an efficient powertrain as well, achieving up to 31 mpg on the highway.
Interior
Even Compass's interior has received the redesign treatment for the 2022 model year. The sleeker dashboard can be upgraded with the available 10.1-inch touch screen equipped with the Uconnect 5 operating system. A 10.25-inch digital driver interface is also available. Make yourself better able to handle the elements with the Compass's available heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats. Choose the Latitude Lux trim level if you're looking for a more luxurious cabin. Upgrading to the Limited adds dual-zone automatic climate control and an ambient interior lighting system that sets the mood at night.
Safety Features
The 2022 Jeep Compass offers peace of mind through its standard and available intelligent safety features. Each model comes standard with a forward-collision warning system with active braking to improve your reaction time to dangers ahead. A blind-spot monitoring system is now a standard feature, making changing lanes less stressful. The rear cross-path detection system lets you know when there's a vehicle approaching as you reverse out of parking spaces.
