Engine (Power)
You'll have three engine options with the 2022 Grand Cherokee. The standard powertrain features a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that outputs 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Upgrade to the available 5.7-liter V-8 engine for more power to enjoy 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. Also available is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain, which offers 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
All three powertrains are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The Grand Cherokee comes standard with a rear-wheel-drive system, but you can give it one of Jeep's famous four-wheel-drive systems for extra traction. The Grand Cherokee has access to three different four-wheel-drive systems, each with its specialty. Add the available class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension to have your Grand Cherokee automatically adjust its height for greater efficiency or more ground clearance.

Interior
The Grand Cherokee seats up to five passengers in two rows with its standard body. The Grand Cherokee L has three rows of seating.
