The 2022 RAM 2500 is a full-size pickup truck sold in seven trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Power Wagon, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. Standard exterior equipment includes:

• 17-inch steel wheels.
• A class V receiver hitch with a seven-pin wiring harness.
• Manual mirrors with the base trim.

The Big Horn and Lone Star trim add larger chrome wheels, heated side mirrors, and a trailer brake controller. Choose the Laramie trim for unique styling accents, LED fog lights, and power-folding side mirrors.

The Power Wagon trim is for off-roading, featuring black fender flares, powder-coated bumpers, a disconnecting front stabilizer bar, and underbody protective skid plates. Nearing the top of the list, the Limited Longhorn comes with LED in-bed lighting, a spray-in Bedliner, and rain-sensing wipers. The upscale Limited trim boasts 20-inch wheels and power running boards. If you choose the short bed, your truck will also come with in-bed storage bins called the RamBox storage solution.

The standard engine is a 6.4-liter V-8 unit that produces 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. Consider upgrading to the optional 6.7-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine if you need more power. It makes 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. An even higher-output version of the same engine is also an option, rated at 420 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque. All three engine options pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Although the rear-wheel drive is standard on all trims but the Power Wagon, four-wheel drive is an optional upgrade. The Power Wagon trim comes standard with RAM's four-wheel-drive system, manual-shift transfer case, and off-road performance suspension tuning. With the proper towing equipment, the RAM 2500 can tow up to 15,040 pounds and haul up to 7,414 pounds of payload.

You'll find basic features like manual climate control, vinyl upholstery, and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel within the cabin of the base trim. This trim level includes a six-speaker audio system, dual USB ports, and a 5-inch touch screen. The Big Horn and Lone Star trims tack on a few upgraded features, such as cloth upholstery, a larger 8.4-inch touch screen, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone integration.

You get leather upholstery, a nine-speaker sound system, power-adjustable pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a heated steering wheel with the Laramie trim. The Power Wagon's interior shares most of its features with the Laramie trim. Step up to the Limited Longhorn to get ambient interior lighting, premium upholstery, ventilated front seats, and integrated navigation. The luxurious Limited boasts a 12-inch touch screen, wireless device charging, and premium trim.

All 2022 RAM 2500 trim levels come with airbags throughout the cabin, a rearview camera, anti-lock brakes, and stability and traction control. With the higher trims, you can add options like blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning and mitigation, a digital rearview mirror, parking sensors, and forward-collision mitigation.
