Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Gladiator is available in nine trim levels: High Altitude, Mojave, Rubicon, Freedom, Overland, Willys, Willys Sport, Sport S, and Sport. It has round halogen headlights, a boxy profile, 17-inch wheels, sturdy black bumpers, up to 11.6 inches of ground clearance, and Jeep's seven-slot grille. You'll also get a full-sized spare tire, tinted glass, and a tow hook for the back bumper. The truck bed is 56.8 inches wide and 60.3 inches long.
With the Sport S and higher trim levels, you can add LED fog lights, automatic high beams, and LED taillights. With the Rubicon and the High Altitude, you can add a winch-capable steel front bumper. It's standard with Freedom.
With the base Sport, you can add puddle lights, a 115-volt outlet for the truck bed, removable doors, and a folding windshield. Heated, auto-dimming, and manually-folding side mirrors are optional as well. You can also choose side steps, 33-inch tires, a sunroof, a convertible top with rollover protection bars, a three-position tailgate, a spray-in bedliner, a bed cover, and 20-inch wheels. Optional colors include Firecracker Red, Black, Bright White, Hydro Blue Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic, High Velocity, Silver Zynith, Sarge Green, and Sting-Gray.
Engine (Power)
The Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine offers 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and it has a six-speed manual transmission. A heavy-duty, turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 is available with the Willys Sport, Sport S, Willys, Rubicon, Overland, and High Altitude. It gives 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, and it has an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The 3.6-liter motor can pull up to 7,700 pounds and haul up to 1,710 pounds. The 3.0-liter engine can carry up to 1,200 pounds and tow up to 6,500 pounds. The Gladiator can navigate streams and creeks up to 31.5 inches deep, and it has a top speed of 110 mph. With the 3.6-liter engine, it gets 16 mpg in traffic and 23 mpg on the open road. With the diesel engine, you can get 22 mpg in urban areas and 28 mpg on larger roads.
Interior
The interior comes with two 12-volt power outlets, a central armrest with a storage space, audio and cruise controls for the steering wheel, and folding rear seats. Other standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, an eight-speaker sound system with speed-sensitive volume control, and SiriusXM satellite radio. With the Rubicon, the Mojave, and the High Altitude, you can choose leather-trimmed bucket seats. With the Sport S and higher trims, you can add an 8.4-inch touchscreen.
Safety Features
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator helps protect you and your passengers with a range of advanced safety features. The base Sport trim level comes with a ParkView backup camera, electronic stability control with roll protection, trailer sway control, hill start assistance, and a security system with an engine immobilizer.
