Trim Levels (Exterior)
For 2023, Ram offers the 2500 in many configurations and trim levels, such as the Tradesman, Lone Star, Big Horn, Laramie, Revel, Longhorn, Limited, and Power Wagon. Optional exterior features include tow-ready mirrors, cargo tie-downs, and exclusive badging for certain trim levels. All Ram 2500s have an attention-grabbing aggressive grille. You can also opt for a spray-in bed liner or a bed step. You can select the Laramie or Limited for a new Mopar performance hood. The new Rebel rolls down the road on 20-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch off-road capable tires and a protective skid plate.
Engine (Power)
You can choose from two different engines for the new 2023 Ram 2500. The standard engine is a 6.4-liter gas engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that puts out 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. You can also opt for the diesel, an inline six-cylinder 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission that generates 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Ram offers plenty of performance-enhancing features on the latest 2500. Four-wheel drive is standard on all Ram 2500 trims to tackle mud, snow, or other inclement conditions. Ram includes load-leveling air suspension and a limited-slip differential for a more comfortable, smoother ride. If you opt for the 6.4-liter engine, the maximum towing capacity checks in at 14,370 pounds, which is plenty for basic needs. However, the Cummins diesel has a maximum towing capacity of 37,090 pounds for large jobs.
Interior
The cabin of the 2023 Ram 2500 gives you plenty of room for you and your passengers, especially if you opt for the Mega Cab. The Longhorn trim has stylish options, such as gold trim and striped wood. You can get as simple or plush as possible, from cloth to leather seating, plus heated and ventilated seats.
The intuitive, user-friendly technology includes a standard 8-inch touchscreen display, or you can upgrade to an available 12-inch reconfigurable display. Other options include Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and standard phone connectivity so you can stream without picking up your phone. You can keep all devices charged up with lots of charging ports throughout the cabin of the 2500.
Safety Features
To help with hauling and driving, Ram has included a litany of safety and driver-assistance features for the 2023 2500. Standard features include a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, a forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking, and an adaptive cruise control system. In the unfortunate instance of a collision, you and your passengers will be protected with the high-strength frame and advanced airbag system.
