The large, powerful Chrysler 300 is one of the few remaining full-size sedans. This Chrysler has been around for a long time, and it continues to be a strong contender for drivers who prefer a car over an SUV. Chrysler has kept the car's style modern with small updates over the years, and for 2021 it has some more significant changes. Take a look at what's new with the 2021 Chrysler 300.
Streamlined Model Lineup
For 2021, Chrysler removed the 300C trim from the lineup. The 300 now comes in the Touring, Touring L, and the 300S. The Touring starts the lineup with 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless ignition, heated side door mirrors, and automatic headlights. Stepping up to the Touring L adds 18-inch alloy wheels, an auto-dimming driver's side mirror, and LED fog lights. Both the Touring and Touring L offer the option for a comfort-tuned suspension. The 300S is the sporty Chrysler 300. It has a sport-tuned suspension, black 20-inch alloy wheels, and adds unique exterior trim elements.
New Packages
Chrysler added two new optional packages to the 300. The first is the Comfort Group. This package is optional for the Touring L and the 300 S. It comes with ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, a power rear sunshade, and memory settings for the driver's seat. It also adds a power-adjustable steering column, LED lights for the cupholders, and self-leveling headlights.
The new Popular Equipment Package adds technology features such as navigation, a five-year subscription for SiriusXM Traffic updates, and a 9-speaker surround-sound stereo system. A dual-pane panoramic sunroof is also part of this optional package.
New Safety Technology
The
2021 Chrysler 300Â Touring L now comes with front and rear parking sensors, and it now has a blind spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert as standard features. You can still add the Safety Tec Plus Package to the Touring L and 300S, which has a full-speed forward-collision warning system, automatic high beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
Red S Appearance Package
Another big change for 2021 is the Red S Appearance Package now comes standard with the 300S. This was an optional package in the previous year, but now if you choose the 300S, it comes with the gloss-black trim, unique 20-inch black-painted wheels, and the Red S badging.
You'll still get a choice between two powerful engines for the 2021 Chrysler 300. The base engine is still a 3.6-liter V-6 with 292 horsepower, or you can bump up to the 300S with its 5.7-liter V-8 that generates 363 horsepower. Both engines work with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the V-6 comes standard with rear-wheel drive and offers all-wheel drive, while the V-8 is only rear-wheel drive.
2021 is an exciting year for the Chrysler 300. It has some significant updates that make it even more fun to drive and make it even nicer to ride in as the driver or a passenger.
