Features of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alexandria, VA
For the first time since 2010, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is getting a redesign. It's been in Jeep's SUV lineup since 1993, and it's still very popular with consumers. While we don't have all the details about what to expect from the 2021 model, a few revelations have been made. Here's a look at what we know so far.

Power and Performance

Although the exact engine lineup for the 2021 Grand Cherokee is still undetermined, there have been rumors about what to look for under the hood. The popular Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine with eTorque will probably be in the lineup, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with hybridization may also be available. In fact, we wouldn't be surprised to see Jeep offer a diesel engine like the one found in the Wrangler or the Hellcat that comes on the Trackhawk as options for the Grand Cherokee. As with previous models, the 2021 versions will come with either rear-, all-, or four-wheel drive depending on your driving style and preferences. Later in the year, you can expect to see a plug-in hybrid model of this midsize SUV, but even if that doesn't happen, Jeep claims that its entire 2022 lineup will offer hybrid versions.

Spacious Interior

No one would have called the interior of the previous Grand Cherokee small, but the latest models will have even more space than ever before. This is due in part to the fact that the current length of 114 inches is expected to increase significantly in new models. This will not only create more space for passengers but will also increase the cargo capacity. If you have a large family, you'll be happy to hear that later in the year, Jeep may release the Grand Cherokee with a third row. So you'll have plenty of room for up to seven passengers, all your gear, or whatever you need to make your life's adventures great.

Modern Technology

Not much has been released about the infotainment system that will come on the 2021 Grand Cherokee. Currently, a 5-inch touch screen is standard on the base model with the option of upgrading to an 8.4-inch touch screen. We probably won't see that smaller 5-inch screen anymore, and hopefully, the Grand Cherokee will have the option of a larger 10-inch screen, similar to the one found in the Ram 1500. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility as well as a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot are other features that we should expect to come standard, at least on the upper trims. As for driver-assist technologies, it's not yet known which ones will be standard as opposed to available. However, we can expect to see some of the more common safety features found these days like a lane keeping system, pedestrian detections, and a blind-spot monitoring system with cross-traffic alert. Your Guide to the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK

Jeep is continuing production on the previous model of their Grand Cherokee, selling it alongside the updated 2022 Cherokee (dubbed the Grand Cherokee WL) with the same great features and an enticingly discounted price tag. There's a lot to recommend in opting for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK, so read on for our guide on some of the exciting features and specs of a vehicle so popular that Jeep decided to keep it on the market! Great Performance and a Powertrain That's Ready to Personalize The 2022 Grand Cherokee WK comes with a standard V6 engine that delivers all the power most Jeep drivers have come to expect and want out of their Jeep, but for those looking for a little bit more, there is also an available V8 at the Limited trim (and above) that gives the Grand Cherokee an extra advantage (and an improved towing capacity of 7200), whether you're tackling rough and rugged off-road trails or cruising down the freeway. more Comfortable and Spacious interior Depending on the trim and features drivers opt for, you can set your 2022 Grand Cherokee WK up like the rugged workhorse it is, or style it with a bit more luxury and features. Either way, the Grand Cherokee has plenty of space for all your cargo (especially with the versatility of its 60/40 folding seats and numerous stow-away spaces) and plenty of high-quality soft-touch materials and leather to make sure you and your passengers are extra comfortable on the road. Standard (and Optional) Features Galore One of the best infotainment systems on the market is Jeep's Uconnect system. The system comes standard with a 5-inch touchscreen display, which can be upgraded to a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen if drivers prefer. This system can also be upgraded to include in-car WiFi, rear-seat entertainment, SiriusXM satellite radio capability, and more. Drivers can also opt to upgrade the standard six-speaker audio system to a variety of other luxury sound systems, including a 19-speaker Harmon/Kardon system. Classic-Yet-Modern Jeep Styling One area where the 2022 Grand Cherokee WK differs from the redesigned WL model is in its styling. The WL has an updated, slightly more modern look, while the Grand Cherokee WK has the previous model's quintessential Jeep styling. This means the Grand Cherokee WK looks as at-home when it's covered in mud while off-roading in the great outdoors as it does sleekly maneuvering through urban environments and navigating traffic. Excellent Safety and Driver Assistance Features The 2022 Grand Cherokee WK received the highest possible NHTSA safety rating with a five-star score and comes with a host of fantastic standard and optional safety features. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, even in the base trim, and from there the Grand Cherokee offers additional features like automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. With so much going for it, it's not hard to see why Jeep decided to keep last year's Grand Cherokee model around for a while longer under the "Grand Cherokee WK" name. 2021 Jeep Wrangler Alexandria, VA

Features of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler has always been known for its rough and rugged capabilities, both on- and off-road. While the 2021 Wrangler lineup doesn't bring any shocking changes, the ones that have been made are worth looking into. So, if you want an off-road vehicle that can handle all your adventures with style, here's a glance at what we know so far about the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. more Engine Lineup You can expect a similar engine lineup to what we saw in 2020, but with a few changes. A 3.0-liter diesel V-6 engine was added in 2020, and it will still be available on 2021 models. Also, the popular 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine will remain in the lineup. Important to note is that the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will no longer be available with eTorque mild hybrid technology. However, you'll still get the mild hybrid system with the 3.6-liter V-6 engine. It's rumored that later in 2021, the Wrangler will be available as a plug-in hybrid called four-by-e. Four-Wheel Drive Capabilities To keep its high standard when it comes to off-road capabilities, some upgrades have been made to the four-wheel-drive technology found on the 2021 Wrangler. Command-Trac is a part-time four-wheel-drive system that was previously found on the Sport model. With this system, you had to switch the vehicle from two-wheel to four-wheel drive. Now, even the base model will come with Selec-Trac, which can automatically switch the Wrangler from two- to four-wheel drive by detecting the traction your wheels need. If you opt for the Rubicon trim, the Off-Road Plus Package is standard. It gives you improved performance when off-roading. Upgraded Tech In the past, you could find plenty of technology on the Jeep Wrangler, when you chose upgraded models. For 2021, even the Sport S model will come standard with the previously optional Technology Package. It means you get a 7-inch touch screen that's compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as automatic climate control, a TFT 7-inch color display gauge cluster, and a SiriusXM subscription. Another great feature you'll find on 2021 Wrangler models is a tire fill alert system. When you're airing up your tires, the horn will honk when they're at optimal air levels. Color Options It's all about making a statement, and you'll have no problem making one when you drive the new Jeep Wrangler. It comes in some of the same colors we saw last year, such as Bright White, Billet Silver, Hellayella, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, and Ocean Blue. However, you might want to see how it looks in one of the new color choices, which are Sarge Green, Snazzberry, and Hydro Blue. With the array of color options to choose from, you're sure to find one that suits your unique style.
