The electrical system in your car uses live wires and ground wires, as opposed to the wiring in your house, which also includes a neutral wire. Ground wires in your car connect the car body to enable the circuit to complete. As time passes, ground wires can become corroded due to water or mud. This corrosion blocks the flow of electricity back to its source and will cause the affected electrical component to fail.
