Introducing the 2025 RAM 1500 Ramcharger
Record-Shattering Power
The Ramcharger features a 92-kWh battery and a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine. However, this truck is no PHEV. The gas engine acts purely as an onboard generator for the battery pack, powering it to generate a massive 663 horsepower, 615 lb-ft of torque, and up to 690 miles of range. These numbers are better than any other electric truck currently on the market, and it includes a 14,000-lb maximum towing capacity too.
Other potent under-the-hood abilities contribute to the Ramcharger’s power. The same front suspension as in the gas-powered 1500 is present, as is a fully independent rear suspension. Standard air springs and adaptive dampers add to the truck’s dominating will.
Quick-Charging Battery
Three levels of charging are available, including 400-volt DC fast-charging, which is capable of recharging up to 50 miles in just 10 minutes. That’s one of the fastest recharging times seen in an electric vehicle. Uses for your quick-charging battery extend well beyond the truck: charge your power tools with the 4.8-kW power outlet in the truck bed, or even your entire home in an emergency for up to 30 days.
While you’re driving, you can manage your truck’s energy use by choosing between three power-saving modes, including Eco Mode, Electric Mode, and E-Save Mode. Each mode alters your performance to save battery power, facilitating even greater range.
Technology Loaded
More than 24 inches of total screen space is available to you inside the cabin, including a massive 14.5-inch center touchscreen and an available 10.25-inch passenger display. Through the passenger screen, your copilot can listen to music, access vehicle information, and even stream movies. Two wireless charging pads are available to keep both of your phone’s charged.
The Ramcharger also enables use of a digital key that can be added to a compatible Apple device. This key lets you remotely access and start your truck, and can even be shared with other devices.
Power Tailgate
The Ramcharger has an optional power tailgate that vastly improves functionality and efficiency over the standard tailgate. The power gate can be opened and closed from a button inside the truck, via your key fob, or with the tailgate handle.
