The 21st Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade
Set for November 5th at the corner of Mt. Vernon Ave. and Commonwealth, this parade is free for all guests. The parade includes a pet costume contest, stroller competition, best-decorated home and business contests, and a spooky Halloween classic movie monster maze. The event tends to attract over 7,000 people each year, so come ready to join the crowd for an afternoon of fun between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and follow the parade as it marches toward the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center. The organizers encourage citizens to donate costumes for children so that those who would go without can have something to wear to the parade.
