Alexandria City Hall & Market Square
Located at 301 King Street in the Old Town neighborhood, our City Hall is not only the seat of our city’s government but also a historic building. The building was originally built in 1871-1874, is constructed in Second Empire style, with masonry being walls, cast-iron columns, and wooden floors and ceiling joists. Originally, the police, courts, and fire department were all housed here, but as our town grew these essential services migrated to new venues of their own.
